Twilight Dinner Cruise on the Huang Pu River

Huangpu River is the shipping artery of Shanghai, originating from the mouth of the Yangtze River in Wusong and stretching to the East China Sea. The ochre waters run 114 kilometres and divide Shanghai into two parts - the east and the west.

Take an evening cruise in the sunset along the river as an historian explains the development and rise of Shanghai as a economic power in the Far East, as you take in a spectacular view of the various buildings and skyscrapers on each bank. A cruise along the river will clearly reveal the juxtaposition of all that is old and new.

After your cruise, take a stroll on the Bund past the various architectural styles displayed from Shanghai¹s exposure to western influences. The Bund, also known as Zhongshan Road, is the famous waterfront and an icon of Shanghai. This road starts from Baidu Bridge and winds past quaint houses and heritage sites for about 1.5km. It is a delightful, breezy walk past 52 buildings that showcases various styles from Gothic, Baroque to Renaissance that has lent this area the name ³World¹s Fair of Architecture². Get into the 647-metre long underwater sightseeing tunnel that connects the Bund to the Oriental Pearl Tower. There is much to see and many places to discover along this stretch of the Bund. Downtown Shanghai boasts a rich nightlife of great dining venues, clubs and jazz bars.
