SUN : DAY 01 / LOS ANGELES / KUALA LUMPUR
Your exciting journey begins as you board your Malaysia Airlines 747 wide-bodied jet for the flight across the Pacific to the Orient. Delicious meals are served in-flight.
MON : DAY 02 / KUALA LUMPUR
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur in the early morning. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
TUE : DAY 03 / KUALA LUMPUR
Discover the exciting landmarks of the city. View the splendor of the King's Palace. Share the glorious historical past at the National Museum with its countless exhibits. Visit the National Monument and view the impressive Parliament House. Proceed to the beautiful National Mosque with its majestic domes where Muslims worship every Friday. In the evening, wander and test your bargaining skills at a quaint local promenade; Petaling Street or better known as "Chinatown". Then dine at a local restaurant reknown for the Malay cuisine and enjoy a cultural show.
WED : DAY 04 / KUALA LUMPUR
This delightful educational tour shows you the rural scenery of Kuala Lumpur as well as providing an insight on some of the main industries of the country. See the interesting tapping of rubber trees and collecting of latex. Visit the pewterware demonstration center and the batik factory. Next stop at the Batu Caves with its magnificent limestone and numerous in-built temples. Proceed to the city passing tin mines.
THU : DAY 05 / KUALA LUMPUR / BANGKOK
At leisure until your transfer in the afternoon to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Bangkok, the capital of the fabled Kingdom of Siam (modern day Thailand). A culture more than 1300 years old, its temples and palaces are a fantasy in store, a land with natural beauty and a people whose ingenious friendliness is a legend. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
FRI : DAY 06 / BANGKOK
This morning visit the Grand Palace with its elaborate Thai-style architecture. The Grand Palace enclosure was the symbolic and ceremonial heart of the kingdom. Visit the Wat Phra Keo, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the towers of the Planets and the Great Throne Hall of the Chakri kings.
SAT : DAY 07 / BANGKOK
Early morning excursion-motorboat ride to the famous floating markets along the Chao Phya River and canals. Visit Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn and see the Royal Ceremonial Barges on the return. This evening you will be served a savory Thai dinner, followed by a program of classical Siamese dance.
SUN : DAY 08 / BANGKOK / PENANG
Depart Bangkok for the Malaysian island of Penang often referred to as the "Pearlof the Orient".
MON : DAY 09 / PENANG
An interesting round island tour... consisting of a drive along the sea coast passing Fort Cornwallis-oldest structure on the island built in 1808-and the busy harbor and water-front. Visit the Snake Temple, a sanctuary for tame, uncaged snakes considered to be divine disciples of a Chinese deity. See typical Malay fishing villages... spices and fruit plantations and a Batik (cloth) factory...continuing the coastal drive past miles of glorious beaches.
TUE : DAY 10 / PENANG
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, explore the renowned Kek Lok Si temple with its 10,000 Buddha Pagoda, one of the most splendid temples in the Far East. Ascend Penang Hill (2,400 ft. Above sea level) by riding the quaint funicular railway and enjoy a panoramic view of the island, overlooking the mainland.
WED : DAY 11 / PENANG / SINGAPORE
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Singapore. Singapore noted for shadowy intrigue, is one of the cleanest cities in the world. This evening experience an exotic slice of night life-at the zoo. The Night Safari trail at the Singapore Zoo wanders through eight different geographical zones reconstructed on 40 hectares. Discreet blue filtered lights allow humans to observe the wildlife without disturbing the animals' routines. About 1,200 animals populate the various regions, including some 100 species of nocturnal creatures.
THU : DAY 12 / SINGAPORE
Half- day city tour includes a drive along Elizabeth Walk waterfront past City Hall, stopping at the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles. Drive through exotic Chinatown to ornate Sri Mariaman Hindu Temple. Ascend Mt Faber for a spectacular view. Continue to the mythological world of Tiger Balm Gardens. Visit the Botanical Gardens and Jade House.
FRI : DAY 13 / SINGAPORE
Today may be spent for own activities.
SAT : DAY 14 / SINGAPORE DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight back to the United States.
