A Step into history – A ROYAL NIGHT AT THE TEMPLE OF DAWN
Guests will be transported by Rice Barges along the Chao Phraya River to "Wat Arun",
the Temple of Dawn, depart from the hotel at 18.30 hours at which time guests can
admire the beautiful sunset while enjoying the resonance of Angkalung.
The spires of this great temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya - Bangkok's
River of Kings - provide a spectacular backdrop for a gala dinner in the
gardens by the river. Arrive by boat for a traditional greeting, snapshot
reception in front of giant statues and cocktails; return by coach. Suitable
for 100 - 400 pax. Cultural entertainment and handicraft demonstrations
only. Permission needed from the Fine Arts Department .
Welcome floral’s will be handed out (male
with neck garland and female with hand lei)
upon arrival at Wat Arun Temple and
accompanied by long drum rhythms. During
the first hour guests will enjoy an hour
cocktail while being serenaded by a duo of
traditional Thai musical instruments.
Demonstration of floral knitting and fruit
carving will be featured at the time.
A 5-course Western gourmet menu will be
served; tables will be set in Carnival Theme
and uniquely presented with tabletop and
under-table light effect to add to the glitter of
the surroundings. Dinner will also feature full
Thai classical dances and shows.
The Royal Orchid Night
An evening fit for a king. The proceedings start with a pair of Thai instrumentalists who will
charm your guests’ sense as they admire the Orchid Floral Decorations. Guests will enjoy a onehour
cocktail reception with open bar and hors d’oeuvres before dining on the delicious menu
served by staff dressed in traditional Thai “Jongaben” costume. They will then be thoroughly absorbed in the extensive Orchid presentation, special lighting effects and decorative fabrics. After dinner guests will be invited to dance the night away to all their old and new favorites.
Dinner at The Siam Society
Dine at one of Bangkok’s most artistic landmarks right in
the heart of the pulsating city. This is The Kamthieng
House of The Siam Society -- a teak Thai-style piece of
historical architecture built in the middle of the 19th
century. It has played host as a venue to many elegant
dinners and cocktail parties. The open lawn serves as a
cool, green backdrop for pre-dinner cocktails, and then it is
a classic Western Set Dinner, served by staff dressed in
Thai costume. Over dinner, enjoy soft Thai music and
classical Thai performances – all culminating in a delightfully elegant evening. This delightful location on Asoke Road provides a wonderful feel to cocktail parties, theme
dinners, exhibitions and seminars. It¹s a classic setting for, say, pre-dinner cocktails on the lawn
in front of the ancient Thai-style teak house with dinner for up to 130 pax in the air-conditioned auditorium. Maybe a Thai cultural dance performance or a puppet show. Permission required.
Loy Krathong Night at The Rose Garden
Celebrate this colorful event at The Rose Garden. With creative props, the grounds are
transformed to represent a typical Thai Village square. A variety of stalls display traditional
Thai village skills, games, handicrafts and entertainment. Enjoy a sumptuous spread of Thai
food over dinner -- after which delegates and guests, with the performers enact the Loy
Krathong Festival – and a memorable evening ends with the climax of fireworks.
The grand dame of theme dinner venues, that puts on wonderful garden parties by the peaceful
Tachine River. The Rose Garden has its own cultural show, so you can arrange to be greeted by
the troupe of elephants, enjoy a long drum parade, music and dance, even sword fighting and
boxing. Extensive gardens can cater to large groups. 20 to 2,000 guests. There is also a beautiful
teakwood house situated by the lake which can accommodate 50 guests for dinner. Catering by

Riverside Marketplace – Journey into Exotic Thailand
Set in one of the embassy grounds along the Chao Phraya River, this fun-filled evening will take
delegates and guests into a typical Thai marketplace. Over cool tropical cocktails, enjoy the
many pockets of activities including silk spinning, earthenware making, and umbrella painting,
among others. For dinner – enjoy a fresh seafood barbeque and wander over the spread of food
stalls serving a colorful selection traditional Thai culinary delights.
November is the month of Loy Krathong – when
the Thais flock to the riverside to observe the
age-old tradition of floating away ‘krathongs’ on
the night of the full moon – wishing for the
departure of bad luck and the onset of new
blessings to come.
Once the residence of Prince and Princess Chumbhot of Nagara Svarga, it was turned into a museum in 1952, packed with antiquities, Ban Chiang pottery and old Thai houses. The best
location for a superb dinner is the middle lawn surrounded by the old houses, for up to 150 pax.
Permission is required from the supervising foundation.

The Suan Pakkard Palace is a complex of five
traditional Thai houses that overlook a beautifully
landscaped garden, with its most impressive attraction being the 300-year old lacquered pavilion decorated with 17th Century gold leaf murals and fine
The next stop is ‘The House by the Klong’ – the home of the
legendary Father of Thai Silk -- Jim Thompson – an American
businessman who came to Thailand after the 2nd World War. His
disappearance in the Malaysian jungle remains a mystery to this day.
His residence – housing some of the richest collections of benjarong
(the traditional multi-coloured Thai porcelain) in Thailand today, and
other Asian art objects – is now a museum, and a favourite stop not
to be missed
The beautiful Araya Hall, located in the same compound as the Jim Thompson House and
Museum, is an upmarket venue for theme parties of up to 90 guests. From cocktails in the
purpose-built bar on the 2nd floor to a buffet dinner in air-conditioned splendour overlooking
the nearby canal, plus traditional Thai entertainment, product launch or fashion show. Jim
Thompson House guides can provide a brief tour of the museum for small groups interested in
the superb antique collections during cocktails.

Dinner at M.R. Kukrit Pramoj’s Home
A famous statesman, Prime Minister of Thailand during 1974-1975 and artist. The residence comprises
five separate buildings on elevated poles and is a fine example of a traditional residence of one of
Thailand¹s high society. All the buildings are over 100 years old and of architectural interest. It is
comforting to know that the donation to the house for the dinner arrangements will go towards the Kukrit 80 Foundation under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. 50 to 200 guests. in Soi
Phra Pinit, off Sathorn road.
We have the possibility to rent this beautiful place to view the collection of traditional wooden Thail
house containing varied displays of art, antiques, books and furnishings. The landscaped grounds are
meticulous and ideal for a festive dinner in the garden.

Baiyoke Skytower
Bangkok¹s tallest building offers stunning views of the city by day or
night. Enjoy cocktails on the 83rd floor, with access to the open air,
revolving viewpoint on the 84th floor. You may have to duck when planes go
overhead, but it¹s pretty safe. For up to 100 guests. This is a stunning
5-star venue stuck on top of a 2-star hotel. Catering by the Baiyoke Sky
Hotel.
Benjasiri Park
This boutique park next to the Imperial Queen¹s Park Hotel offers something
different for outdoor cocktails or dinners for up to 200 people next to the
large pond. Permission is required from City Hall, with a good reason for
using the park.
National Museum
Once a palace of Thailand¹s Second King, now a priceless treasure house of
Asian art and artifacts, the museum contains many historically important
buildings including a superb old wooden house and gold-leaf decorated sala.
Dinner can be served outdoors in the museum¹s garden for up to 500 guests.
Depending on time, private tours of the museum can be arranged.
Vimarnmek Palace
Once the royal residence of King Chulalongkorn, this incredible all-teak
mansion is now a superb museum, highlighting the opulence at the turn of the
20th century. With permission, lunch and possibly afternoon tea for up to
300 pax may be held in the garden overlooking the former Parliament House.
Limited to traditional Thai food and performances, the event must show due
respect to the Royal Household. Permission needed from Royal Household.
Warehouse 43
Can be transformed into an Indochina market or Asian circus, this waterfront
warehouse is a great location for large parties. Arrive by boat, party all
night and leave by air-conditioned coach. Noise is not a problem, so it¹s
great for Thai village fair themes, with lots of shows, music and ancing.
Our imagination and your budget is the limit for great themes for up to
1,000 pax.
Chulalongkorn University Campus
This city-centre university campus provides the perfect setting for a themed
gala dinner, outside and under the stars. The university, named after King
Chulalongkorn, has a small lake at the entrance and large lawn area in front
of a statue of King Chulalongkorn and the historic university building.
The venue is suitable for 500 - 1,500 guests.

SUPATRA RIVER RESTAURANT
This two-story traditional Thai house on the banks of the Chao Phraya, near Wat Arun, is full of Thai history. It is formerly the home of Khunying Supatra Singholaga, a very successful businesswoman and a leading advocate for womens' rights in Thailand. Not only does it serve
wonderful food, but every Friday and Saturday night the nearby Patarvadi theater performs a
Thai classical dance routine. There's also a small museum devoted to Supatra, and in the
daytime you can watch cooking demonstrations. There is a free ferry service from the Maharaj pier. Venue is suitable for 200 pax

SEAFOOD MARKET AND RESTAURANT
After you've been seated, look over the list of preparation styles, then walk to the back and take
a shopping cart. Peruse the no fewer than 40 different creatures of the sea, either live or on ice,
all priced by the kilo. Pay for it all at the cashier, then cart it back to the table. Waiters are skilled
at making perfect suggestions for your catch, and what comes out of the kitchen is always good.
Cooking charges and corkage are paid separately at the end of the meal. The seafood is market
price, the fish.

Special Group Events
Basic Thai Massage Class
A two-hour class of basic traditional massage where visitors will learn how to do head, shoulder and back massages
to release the stress of a hard day’s at work. These can be arranged in the function room at the hotel where the
group is staying or at any appropriate place that the group requires. An English speaking professional “Masseur” will
conduct the class and a translator can be arranged.
Carving Class
A popular art form in Thailand is food presentation on dinner tables, such as fruit and vegetable carving. The halfday
course will teach you the basic skills required to creatively carve a range of fruits and vegetables to impress your
guests at dinner parties. The course can take place in the hotel function room or any other appropriate location with
an English speaking professional and translators if required.
Cooking Class
Thai food has become one of the most popular cuisine in the world, this is an ideal opportunity to learn a little about
Thai ingredients and basic cooking methods. The half-day course can be arranged for groups with English speaking
teachers and translators if required.
Meditation Class
An hour class in everyday meditation technique to help you concentrate and focus in your daily life. This can be
organized in the hotel function room or at any relaxing location that the group wants. An English speaking
professional meditator will run the class along with a translator if required.
Monk Procession
Early in the morning the group will travel to an area where they can observe the Thai Buddhist monks ritual of
receiving alms offered by the people. If they so wish, the group can receive a blessing from the monks at the hotel
or the Wat where they can witness the monk’s traditional rites.
Tuk Tuk Tour of Bangkok Nightlife
Here is an ideal opportunity to explore the old town of Bangkok by night in a Tuk Tuk, which is a unique threewheeled open air vehicle, a common sight in Bangkok. The tour will take visitors around China town where there are
many lights at night and through the back streets of Bangkok’s old preserved area where many interesting historical sights can be seen. A police escort will be arranged in order to ensure that the traffic flows.
