Sun, Sea and Surf

The beach is an important part of the Singaporean lifestyle. It is the stage not only for swimming and sunbathing, but also for fun and crazy beach parties. To “break the ice” for your guests and to help them unwind, we will create the beach extravaganza of the year!

Transfer from the hotel by air-conditioned coaches and/or ferry to a beach, either in Singapore or on one of the nearby Indonesian islands. There, a windsurfing race, canoe race or a game of volleyball will be arranged. For the less energetic, a gentle time can be passed sunbathing, swimming or relaxing by the beach.

Dinner will be a barbeque set in the exotic atmosphere of a sailing club. After dinner, it is time for dancing or limbo-rock with the help of a mobile disco. This fun festivity will serve to break the ice and get the group together. At the end, your guests will feel at home in Singapore and be prepared and relaxed for all the excitement (and any meetings) that are in store for them during the rest of the programme.

CONSIDERATIONS

There is no “protection” in case of heavy rain. However, the beach party could be rescheduled relatively quickly during the group’s stay.

ENHANCEMENTS

  1. Beach towels commemorative of the event.
  2. Have specially inscribed winners’ medals made for the various contests.

Duration: 5 hours
Capacity: 100-500

Those Were The Days

The evening starts off with cocktails served on one of Singapore’s oldest bridges overlooking the Singapore River or on the patio of one of Singapore’s many elegant colonial buildings restored to perfection. For the next hour, the guests can wander around, glass in hand, listening to the strolling minstrels, socialising or pausing to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Singapore River against the changing skyline as the sun goes down. A sumptuous meal is served in truly elegant style and in the best of continental traditions. From an alcove, a combo band or a quartet will entertain throughout dinner. All serving staff will be dressed elegantly in black and white.

ENHANCEMENTS
  1. 1. Hire actors to dress up as famous historical figures (such as Sir Stamford Raffles) to welcome the guests at the museum. (Alternatively, selected participants could play such roles).
  2. Fans to be given to guests

Duration: 5 hours
Capacity: 100-150

Tropical Romance

Lush, tropical greenery and exotic flowers are very much part of Singapore. This theme is set in the beautiful, landscaped gardens of Sentosa, a 375 hectare (927 acres) island resort, just minutes away by ferry or over a bridge from the “mainland”. At the ferry terminal of Sentosa, board the monorail for a good view around the island.

Stop at the musical fountain for a 30-minute colourful display of music, light and water. Guests will be served with a refreshing coconut drink during the show.

Dinner is then served in the magnificent fountain plaza surrounded by tree-lined pavilions, brightly lit walkways and dazzling fountains. These, together with a constant sea breeze fanning the island, give a romantic atmosphere to this tropical garden party. Staff dressed in local costumes will serve a spread of local and international cuisine. After dinner, enjoy a 45-minute variety show highlighting the best of local songs and dances.

CONSIDERATIONS

The hotels can be used as a back-up in case of inclement weather.

ENHANCEMENTS

  1. Give the ladies scarves and men batik shirts.
  2. Have the musical fountain programmed to the company or incentive/meeting theme song/music.

Duration: 5 hours
Capacity: 200-500

Night Safari

If your guests are seeking adventure and nature, then take them on a surprising Singapore safari...at night. Treading on rustling leaves, your guests will discover that the night has a thousand eyes! They will have to watch where they tread and look out for fish-eating “crocodiles”, “tigers” and the “golden cat” as they make their way through the jungle. Whole coconut or pineapple drinks will be served amidst the shrieking cries from birds-of-prey. You may run into Tarzan and Jane too!

Throughout the night, a sense of danger and anticipation fills the air as the sound of drums echo from the safari in the Singapore “jungle”.

ENHANCEMENTS

  1. Distribute pith helmets and/or scarves to add to the atmosphere.
  2. Present prizes to the best-dressed or the most creative outfit.

Duration: 4 hours
Capacity: 150 onwards
