FRI : DAY 02 / KUALA LUMPUR
This modern garden city reflects British colonial past and Moorish culture.Young and vibrant, this city is full of diversity in it's people, it's history, it's culture and its lifestyle.You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
SAT : DAY 03 / KUALA LUMPUR
Discover the exciting landmarks of the city. View the splendor of the King's Palace. Share the glorious historical past at the National Museum with its countless exhibits. Visit the National Monument and view the impressive Parliament House. Proceed to the beautiful National Mosque with its majestic domes where Muslims worship every Friday. In the evening, wander and test your bargaining skills at a quaint local promenade; Petaling Street or better known as "Chinatown". Then dine at a local restaurant renown for the Malay cuisine and enjoy a cultural show.
SUN : DAY 04 / KUALA LUMPUR / MEDAN
Transfer to the airport this morning for Medan. Upon arrival in Medan, you will be met by your guide. Proceed directly to Lake Toba. On the way, visit the Karo Batak tribe at Brastagi where ancient houses are still in daily use and fruit market Stop at Sipisopiso Waterfall tumbling over one hundred meters into Lake Toba. enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Toba from its northern tip. Visit the ancient King's Palace of Simalungun at Permatang Purba and listen to the story of the king and his 12 wives. Overnight at your hotel at Lake Toba.
MON : DAY 05 / LAKE TOBA
Day cruise on Lake Toba. Visit the royal grave of King Sidabutar at Tomok village, the houses with saddle-shaped roofs. Next to Ambarita village to see the Royal Stone court in front of the traditional houses. Stone chairs surround a table where the King used to hold court and discuss matters concerning the people's welfare, agriculture, took decisions on war and judged crimes.
TUE : DAY 06 / PADANG SIDEMPUAN
Morning drive to Padang Sidempuan. Travel to West Sumatra via Sipirok. Check into your hotel for overnight accommodation.
WED : DAY 07 / BUKI TINGGI
Continue onto Bukit Tinggi, the land of the Minangkabaus. Most prominent in the West Sumatra landscapes are the hornshape roofs of houses nestled in coconut groves. The shape of the roofs, like those of the women's headdress, is an honor of the legendary buffalo calf who won the fight against a bull and thereby gave the people of West Sumatra their freedom from Javanese overlordship.
THU : DAY 08 / MINANGKABAU KINGDOM
Your full day tour takes you to visit the Museum, Fort de Kock, market and Sianok valley. Then proceed to Pagaruyung, site of the ancient Minangkabau Kingdom and traditional villages at Pariaman and Lmakaum.
FRI : DAY 09 / BUKIT TINGGI / JOGJAKARTA
Depart early morning for Padang for flight to Jogjakarta. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
SAT : DAY 10 / JOGJAKARTA
Morning excursion to Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple in the world, built in the 8th century. It is said to have taken 10,000 workers and 10 years to build. This huge, stepped pyramid is one of the world's most amazing man made creations. It terraces and stupas climbing a hillside in a series of immense rock steps. This miracle of engineering, sculpture and craftsmanship has recently been restored and returned to its original grandeur.
SUN : DAY 11 / JOGJAKARTA / DENPASAR
Arrive at the storied island paradise of Bali, crown jewel in Indonesian Archipelago. Volcanic mountains, lakes and rivers, terraced rice fields, lush canyon and palm groves inspired its claim as "Islands of the Gods", Bali is the most beautiful place on earth !
MON : DAY 12 / DENPASAR
Your full day excursion takes you to Celuk, home of gold and silverworks, Mas, village of woodcarvers and Ubud, the village of Balinese paintings, Goa Gajah (elephant cave) and the holy springs of Tirta Empul at Tampaksiring. See a performance of the famous Barong and Kris dance performed by a multitude of dancers in an ancient temple. Later, at the mountain village of Kintamani, marvel at the crater offering panoramic vistas.
TUE : DAY 13 / DENPASAR
Free for own activities.
WED : DAY 14 / DENPASAR DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the States.
