Except for an encircling narrow coral sand beach, the island is covered by a thick crop of rain forest. A simple and rustic setting that belies the true wonder of Sipadan. For below the waters of Sipadan thrives a marine wonderland. A shallow triangular, shield-shaped reef surrounds the island. All you have to do is to walk 30 feet or less from the beach and the reef suddenly drops 2000 feet vertically. This allows you limitless opportunities for wall diving. The World Wildlife Fund has claimed that "no other spot on the face of our planet has more marine life than this island". A fact acknowledged by Jacques Cousteau and his crew during a diving expedition to Sipadan.... DAY 01 Meet upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu by a GTB Representative. Take connecting flight to Tawau. Meet upon arrival in Tawau and transfer to your hotel for overnight accommodation. DAY 02 After a restful night and an early breakfast depart by boat to Sipadan Island. Upon arrival, check into your lodge. Briefing by a Divemaster / Instructor. The first dive at the Lodge will be an orientation dive with a Divermaster. This is a beach dive and is required of all Divers. DIVERS WILL NOT HAVE BOAT DIVES ON THE FIRST DAY AT THE RESORT. DAY 03-05 The next three days discover the wonders of Sipadan's underwater world. Each day consists of Three boat dives(2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) and unlimited shore dives. DAY 06 Depart from the island around noon and transfer to Tawau Airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu to connect with your flight to Kuala Lumpur.
