BEIJING

You will begin the exploration of China by visiting the famous Great Wall. Constructed some 2,300 years ago and extending over 3,500 miles, it was one of the few landmarks on earth clearly viewed by the astronauts. Continue your tour to visit the Ming Tombs where the emperors and their consorts were laid to rest. The tomb feature a display of jewelry and regalia numbering 3000 pieces. Evening Acrobatic Show and Dinner.

Today, you will visit the Imperial Palace also known as The Forbidden City. The of former emperors with entry forbidden to all commoners. After lunch, you will proceed to The Temple of Heaven, a Masterpiece of 15th century architecture, built according to the most advanced principles of mechanics and geometry available at time. End your visit with the Summer Palace.

BEIJING DEPARTURE

This morning take a Padi Cab ride through the old lanes of Beijing called Hutongs. These lanes exhibit the history and culture of the city and each lane tells a story. We will proceed to Tien An Men Square, the gate of heavenly peace. This is the largest public square in the world and was built in 1651.

Late afternoon transfer to the airport for your departure flight back to Los Angeles.

Shanghai is the most cosmopolitan city in China, it's cultural attractions such as the Shanghai Museum and Grand Theatre are world class.

You will experience China's largest city by visiting the Bund, the busy Nanjing Road, Jade Buddha Temple -built in 1882 covering and area of 8,000 square meters, the temple got its name from the two jade statues of Sakyamuni, one seated and one reclining, both brought from Myanmar. The seated one is 1.9 meters tall and was carved out of a single piece of white jade weighing one ton and inlaid with dazzling jewels. The temple also houses a number of ancient sculptures and Buddhist scriptures and Yu Garden offering 40 scenic attractions with intricate designs complete with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rocks winding through the Old Town of Shanghai. At the Children's Palace children can choose to participate in any of more than 100 interest groups of activities ranging from music, dance, painting and calligraphy to airplane and ship modeling, automatic control, radio and computer technology. The Children's Palace also organizes a great variety of literary and art performances and cience and technology contests which attract thousands of youngsters. This evening you can explore this fascinating city on your own.

Suzhou is also widely acclaimed for its exquisite arts and crafts, silk embroidery and cuisine.
