SUN : DAY 01 / LOS ANGELES DEPARTURE

Your exciting journey begins as you board your Malaysia Airlines 747 wide-bodied jet for the flight across the Pacific to the Orient. Delicious meals are served in-flight.

MON : DAY 02 / KUALA LUMPUR

Arrive in Kuala Lumpur in the early morning. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

TUE : DAY 03 / KUALA LUMPUR

Discover the exciting landmarks of the city. View the splendor of the King's Palace. Share the glorious historical past at the National Museum with its countless exhibits. Visit the National Museum and view the impressive Parliament House. Proceed to the beautiful National Mosque with its majestic domes where Muslims worship every Friday. In the evening, wander and test your bargaining skills at a quaint local promenade Petaling Street or better known as "Chinatown". Then dine at a local restaurant renown for the Malay cuisine and enjoy a cultural show.

WED : DAY04 / KUALA LUMPUR / TAMAN NEGARA NATIONAL PARK

Taman Negara, Malaysia's National Park is older than the Amazon Forest and is home to thousands of species of fauna and flora as well as birds, elephants and rhinos. Transfer from the hotel for 125 miles drive to Jerantut. Stop at the resthouse for lunch. After lunch, transfer by motorized longboat for a 37 mile journey up Tembling River to Taman Negara.

THU : DAY 05 / TAMAN NEGARA NATIONAL PARK

Start the day off with a climb to Bukit Taresek. From the top one can enjoy a panoramic view of Gunung Tahan, the forest canopy the hills and verdant valley at the hilltop. The 334 meters hill can be reached within 45 minutes. After lunch head for Kota Berkoh by boat. Shooting the rapids and fishing and swimming are amongst the activities here.

FRI : DAY 06 / TAMAN NEGARA NATIONAL PARK / KUALA LUMPUR

Depart Kuala Tahan by boat to Kuala Tembling where you will be transferred back to your hotel.

SAT : DAY 07 / KUALA LUMPUR/YANGON

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the hotel. An introductory visit at sunset is made to the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Myanmar's most spectacular landmarks and then an evening of dinning, song and dance to begin your understanding of the gentle Myanmar culture.

SUN :DAY 08 / YANGON/HEHO/TAUNGGYI

Visit the Bogyoke Aung San Market where everything from silver jewellery to Longyis is sold. Catch an Air Mandalay flight to Heho. Enroute to Taunggyi, visit a factory where nimble fingers roll hundreds of cheroot off the "production lines" each hour.

MON : DAY 09 / TAUNGGYI/INLE LAKE/KALAW

Visit the morning market before proceeding to Inle Lake, home to the unique leg-rowers, floating gardens, markets and pagodas. Enroute to Kalaw, a former British retreat, visit the Pindaya Caves where many images of Buddha were deposited over the centuries. Overnight at the Kalaw Hotel, a tudor style reminder of the colonial times.

TUE : DAY 10 / KALAW/HEHO/MANDALAY

Descend from the lofty heights of Kalaw to Heho for your flight to Mandalay, the city that inspired Rudyard Kipling to write some of his greatest works. More history beckons at the Mahamuni Pagoda. Watch the gold grow in the gold-leaf factory before visiting the weaving factory, the marble and woodcarvers. Visit the Mandalay Palace which King Mindon built as the "Centre of the World", as well as Mandalay Hill to view the city and the surrounding countryside. Dinner at the Pyi Gyi Mon Restaurant which was built in the style of a royal barge.

WED : DAY 11 / AMARAPURA/MANDALAY

Drive to Amarapura, the ancient capital that was built on the advise of court astrologers. Visit the Bugaya Monastery, U Bein's Bridge and Thabyedan Fort. after lunch, return to Mandalay to visit some of the more notable pagodas and temples. Watch the gold grow in a gold-leaf factory before dinner.

THU : DAY 12 / MANDALAY/BAGAN

Last minute shopping before taking your flight to Bagan, the start of a journey into the history books. From the earliest wall murals to the prototype stupa design, each temple and pagoda turns a page in Bagan's history to reveal kings and dynasties from the 9th to the 11th Centuries. View the idyllic Ayeyarwady River from two different locations at lunch and at a candle light dinner.

FRI : DAY 13 / BAGAN/YANGON

Return to Yangon and visit the Mingladon Orchid, Hitaukkyant Village and the Royal Lakes to view the Karaweik Hall. Dinner and overnight in Yangon.

SAT : DAY 14 / YANGON/KUALA LUMPUR

Soak in more colonial history on a tour of the colonial district before stopping over at a reputable jeweller where one may inspect and purchase the many gems that Myanmar is famous for. An export guarantee is available for gems purchased.

SUN : DAY 15 / KUALA LUMPUR DEPARTURE

This afternoon transfer to the airport for departure flight back to the States.
